It is with profound sadness that the family of John William Behme announces his passing on September 11, 2026, at the age of 76.

John will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. He found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially time spent with family at the beloved cabin at Candle Lake. Whether relaxing at the lake, sharing stories around the table, or making memories with those he loved most, John treasured every moment with his family.

An avid hockey player and fan throughout his life, John enjoyed the camaraderie, competition, and friendships that the game brought him. His love of hockey was only surpassed by the love he had for his wife, children and grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable pride and happiness.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice Behme; his daughters, Sheryl Hewko (Steve) and Sheena Sellers; and his cherished grandchildren, Phoenix, Micah, Owen, Jacob, and Logan. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, laughter, and countless treasured memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Though he will be deeply missed, John's family finds comfort in the many happy times they shared together and in knowing that his love and influence will continue to live on through the generations that follow.

A celebration of life will be held at the Western Development Museum ballroom on Sunday, October 4th at 11am. All who loved him are welcome to join and celebrate his legacy of laughter and love.
