John Douglas Fawcett

The family of John Douglas Fawcett is deeply saddened to announce John’s passing on September 25th, 2026.

John was born on November 26th, 1952 in Saskatoon to Fred and Dorothy Fawcett. He was raised in Saskatoon alongside his siblings Patricia, June, Bob, Gerry, Glenn and Mary.

John grew up in the North Park neighborhood attending North Park Public School and City Park Collegiate.

Following high school, John joined the construction industry as a cabinet builder. He spent some time working in Vancouver and in 1992 moved to Halifax where he was currently residing.

John will be missed by his partner, Joanne and sons Jordan and Brennan and their families. He is also survived by sisters Patricia Paisley, June (David) Burkell, Mary (Brian) Powell, sister-in-law Sheila and brothers Bob (Marlene), and Glenn (Tammy) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Dorothy, his son Janson, brother Gerry and brother-in-law Dean Paisley.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia at a future date.
