John Herbert Howard was born on September 22, 1981, to Robert and Karon Howard in Saskatoon, SK. He graduated high school in 2000 and went on to start his own thriving delivery/courier business with the help of his sister, Lisa, and father.
After 9 courageous years of dialysis and multiple hospital visits in his final months, John made the selfless decision to forego further treatment and passed away peacefully on March 19 at 12:08 am, surrounded by his loving family, at the remarkable age of 43.
John's love for softball, started off as being a bat boy at the age of 13 which led to him finding his passion for umpiring. He continued with the Saskatoon softball league umpiring, for 17 years, until he was 30. He cherished scooter rides, can collecting, and the Coca Cola logo, as well as fishing, mentos and sharing slurpee's with his niece, Alexis, and nephew, Dylan, who he always shared his candy with. John enjoyed watching his nephews, Brody and Davis, play hockey, proudly and would attend every birthday and family gathering with a smile.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Karon Howard, his brother Kenny Howard (Michelle), and two sisters, Shona (Logan) Stittle and Lisa (Stephen) Smith, as well as his nieces and nephews, Jazmine (Nason) and Toni (Ryan), James, Brody, Davis, Alexis, and Dylan, and great nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
John is met in heaven by his loyal dog, Koda, and numerous loving family members, including his great grandparents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for John will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm from the Saskatoon Funeral Home Chapel, 338 4th Avenue N, Saskatoon.
