Ron Bourgeois, 76, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 19, 1950, in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, and built a life defined by hard work, adventure, and-most of all-love for his family.
Ron was a farmer at heart and an entrepreneur by nature. He loved the challenge of building something from the ground up and took great pride in his years in the restaurant and bar business. Even in retirement, Ron's adventurous spirit never slowed down. He and Denise enjoyed traveling across North America in their RV, cooking delicious meals for family & friends and embracing the freedom of the open road and making memories along the way.
Ron was fiercely devoted to Denise, his wife of 55 years, and his three daughters. He would have done anything for them. His greatest joy, however, was being a grandfather. He adored his nine grandchildren. Each held a special place in his heart, and he was incredibly proud of them.
Ron will be remembered for his strong personality, determination, generosity, sense of adventure, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. He lived life on his own terms, worked hard, played hard, and never hesitated to make his presence known. Above all, he was a husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply.
Ron leaves behind his beloved wife, Denise; his daughters Natalie Gallup (Cory), Celeste Kyle (Rory), and Andrea Empey; and his cherished grandchildren Emily, Sydney, Cameron, Avery, Finlay, Sloan, Faith, and Leah; his siblings Guy, Jocelyne, and Carmen.
He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyne Sewell and son-in-law, Dale Empey.
His memory will live on through his family, the stories they share, and the many lives he touched along the way.
His memory will be honored on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 pm at W.A. Edwards Family Centre, 333 4th Ave North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2L7. Parking is available across the street at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
