It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Joyce Marie Richmond. Joyce passed peacefully surrounded by family at St. Paul's Hospital on April 12, 2026, at the age of 89. Joyce was born on July 14,1936 in Delisle SK at Nurse Redding's house shortly after her twin sister Judy. She grew up on the family farm together with her parents, Judson and Dorothy Durham and her siblings Stewart, Bob, Jean and Judy. 

On November 8, 1957, she married Arnold Richmond who loved and adored her completely until her final moments. Together they raised a devoted family of five. Joyce lived life to the fullest, a devoted farm wife and mother, the matriarch of the family. She worked hard on the farm, sewing clothes for the family, harvesting the family garden, driving kids to their various events... always putting the family first. She also enjoyed her own activities, playing ball, curling, golfing, cards, and socializing with family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Arnie, her 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren:

- Wendy (Mick) Mathieu; Mickey (Gina), Archer; Lance (Alyssa), Hallie, Logan, Addison, Layne; Dallas

- Laurie (Perry) Welch; Ashley (Alex), Abigail, Declan, Kipton; Shayna (Bryce), Livia, Wren; Jenna (Trent), Kayden, Brielle

- Sandra (Kevin) Syroteuk; Braeden (Kelly); Austin; Tanner (Janine), Rhys, Cale; Julie (Tyler)

- Wade (Joanne) Richmond; Dallon, Mason, Cassidy-Joyce; and Riley Blacklock

She is also survived by her sister Judy Jimioff of Sherwood Park, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents Judson and Dorothy Durham, her siblings and their spouses Stewart (Ivy) Durham; Bob (Marie) Durham; Jean (Pete) St. Pierre; her brother in-law, John Jimioff; her in-laws Byron and Hattie Richmond; Willard (Loretta) Richmond; Lois (Jack) Hardy; Gerald (Lois) Richmond.

A special thank-you to the doctors and staff at St. Paul's Palliative Care Unit who treated her with such care in her final journey.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 21st at 10:00 am at the Saskatoon Funeral Home. Following the service, there will be lunch at the Senior's Centre in Delisle beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Donavon Cemetery Fund c/o PO Box 569, Delisle, SK S0L 0P0.
