Karen Boatness

Karen Lauretta Boatness August 16, 1950 - August 19, 2016 The family would like to announce the passing of Karen on August 19, 2016 at the age of 66. Predeceased by her parents Karl and Verdella, she is lovingly remembered by her brother Ron (Kathleen); niece Tara (Jay) Carruthers and family; nephew Paul (Trina) Boatness and family; and a number of cousins and their families. Karen was born in Saskatoon and graduated in1968 from Mount Royal Collegiate and went on to receive her Nursing Diploma in 1970 from SIAAS (now Sask Polytechnic). She devoted her life to a 35 year nursing career at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, retiring in 2007. In her leisure time she loved to spend time relaxing with family and friends at the cabin at Waskesiu Lake. She will be dearly missed. At Karen's request there will be no funeral service.
