Karen Margaret Breeze passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023, in Saskatoon, with her loving children and family by her side. Karen is survived by her loyal canine companion Rio, daughter Jami Sumlic (Scott) of Candle Lake, son David Breeze (Katie) of Saskatoon; her grandchildren Tayen & Lowen Sumlic and Jackson & Sydney Breeze. She is also survived by her brother Ray Cameron (Marg), sister Arlene Harper (Ron) sisters-in-law, Laurette Robinson, Pearl Shirley & Barb Bogard (Andy), brother-in-law Greg Breeze (Anita) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, Olive and Colin Richard, her husband Ron, in-laws Leeland, Margaret, Donna & Lorne Breeze, brothers, Ian Alec, Wayne, Ken, Keith and Ian Joe, sister Fern.
Karen was born in Prince Albert on December 10, 1952, to Olive and Colin Richard Robinson. She attended PACI high school where she met the love of her life Ron. Ron and Karen were married on October 16, 1976, in Prince Albert. Jami was born 1977, and David followed in 1979. The family moved to Saskatoon in 1982.
Karen spent most of her working days at SaskPower (25 years) where she retired in 2011. When she wasn’t working, she spent most of her time shuffling Dave and Jami from rink to rink for ringette and hockey practices. The family spent all their summers and spare time at Candle Lake at the Breeze Family Cabin. You could always find a Breeze or two on the Dogwood Beach.
Karen loved all four of her grandchildren dearly and would often comment on how her arms could hold more!
We are saddened to see her go but comforted knowing she is now with her one love Ron. Until we meet again, mom. Love Jami & David.
A Celebration of Karen’s life to follow at a later date.
