Katheryne Kristine McCannell was born in Frontier, SK on August 15, 1935 to loving parents James and Marvel (nee French) McCannell.  She attended schools and lived in Bracken, Weyburn, Climax and Saskatoon.  As a young woman she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.  In 1954 she came to Saskatoon and in 1956 married Stan Mazurek.  They were married for 43 years.  She loved music and would play for many sing songs in her home or wherever there was a piano.  She enjoyed knitting many afghans for her family and painting in later years.  She will be forever remembered by her son Graham (Darcy); daughter Tracy (Greg); special USA nieces Jayne, Terry and Wendy; brother-in-law Leon (Ollie) Mazurek; sisters-in-law Frances and Eileen and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband Stan and sister Stella Brandon. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Memorial donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House.
