Jn March 6. 2026, a ray of sunshine passed from this world and left it a much darker place for all who knew her.

Kathleen Edith Pollock (nee Bishop) was born on February 23, 1953, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, enriching the lives of her parents, Alexander and Iris Bishop, and her older brother, Roger.

Kathleen attended Buena Vista School, Nutana Collegiate, and the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan. When she was not devoted to her roles as homemaker, mother, and wife, she worked at Lorne Avenue Drugs and Ready's Pharmacy, and completed her career at Community Clinic Pharmacy, all in Saskatoon. She sang in United Church choirs at Second Street and Grace-Westminster churches. A prolific bird photographer, seamstress, cross stitcher, pottery painter, among others, Kathleen had a knack for picking up any craft she turned her hand to. In her quiet but steady way, she supported all of her sons' activities, and many of her husband's as well, including Scouts Canada, the 96th Highlanders Pipes and Drums, the Scottish Pavilion at Folkfest, various school programs, and the Saskatoon Scottish Country Dancers.

Kathleen passed away at City Hospital in Saskatoon, just eleven days after her 73rd birthday, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother-in-law, Alan Pollock, and her sister-in-law, Bonita Pollock.

She leaves behind her husband of fifty years {605 luniversaries), Bill Pollock; her two sons, Robert (Katelynn) and John; her brother, Roger, all of Saskatoon; her sister-in-law, Faye Huggins of Regina; two nieces; a nephew; and many cousins who remained close to her heart.

Kathleen was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. But for those she leaves behind, her light will continue to shine.

A memorial service to celebrate Kathleen's life will be held at Grace-Westminster United Church, 505 10th Street, Saskatoon, on March 21 at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Brenda Curtis officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Grace Westminster United Church or charity of your choice.
