Kelly Reneigh Hurman (nee: Fitzsimmons)

In the early morning hours of August 13, 2024 Kelly Reneigh Hurman (nee Fitzsimmons) passed away. Kelly's passing at age 51 was unexpected, but peaceful, in the sense that her passing brings closure to a long period of illness for Kelly.

Kelly spent her life in Saskatoon. After completing high school, she worked at Parkridge Centre. Kelly suffered a spinal cord stroke in 2008. Thereafter, raising her son was her primary focus. She was an excellent mother.

Kelly was a character in the nicest of ways. She was funny, engaging, sassy, headstrong, smart, and creative. She had a strong heart and was a strong person. She loved her son, her dogs, lake time, knitting, crafts, and spending time with her family. Prior to her injury, Kelly enjoyed riding her motorcycle, playing ball, hosting family barbecues, and the company of her friends.

Kelly is survived by her son, Lane, her parents (Bill and Sandra Fitzsimmons), her sisters Terri (Scott), Lynne and Sherry, and her brother, David. Kelly loved her nieces and nephews, all of whom survive her (Michael, Emily, Katelyn, Tadhg, and Conall). In later years, she never missed asking about them. In earlier years, she enjoyed hosting them and always made sure that they had what they needed to enjoy themselves while visiting her.

Kelly's family all wish we had more time with her. She will be fondly remembered, sadly missed, and forever in our hearts. We are comforted knowing she is resting in peace.

A service to celebrate Kelly's life, and to mourn her passing, is scheduled for August 21, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., at the Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 4th Avenue N., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Kelly adored dogs. Memorial donations may be made to a Saskatoon dog rescue.
