Kenneth Hunt

July 23, 1954 — October 11, 2025

Ken Hunt passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Ken was born on July 23, 1954 in Hartney, Manitoba to George and Elva (Green) Hunt.

Ken moved to Saskatoon and in 1987, he met Karen and they were married in 2005. He worked for Thermo Design Insulation (TDI) for over thirty years. Ken had many friends and acquaintances in the construction industry that he often would meet up with lunch, coffee or a beer. The family received an email from TDI that said that Ken was fondly remembered for his dedication, his sense of humor, his well-known dislike of Dodge trucks and that he would be truly missed by all who had the privilege of working with him.

Ken was the type of person who didn't really know the meaning of the word relax, he was always doing something or taking care of someone. When his step children's dad was not able to take care of things around his house, there was Ken over at his house snow blowing out his driveway - nobody asked him to, he just did because that is who Ken was.

Ken loved being outdoors in the summer BBQing, puttering in his garden (this year he had a very plentiful garden) and he also enjoyed cooking. When he did sit down, it was to watch the Roughriders play (he enjoyed one last Rider win Friday night before he went to bed). Ken never retired because he just didn't know how to not be busy.

Ken leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Karen; his stepdaughter, Leanne; granddaughter, Jaidyn; his stepson, Shane; his stepson, Dallas (Christina); his son, Francis (Pam and grandsons Wyatt and Owen); his brothers, Dale (Connie) and Ralph (Wendy); his in-laws, Grant (Sharon), Lloyd (Marilyn), Herb (Shelly), Rob (Lisa), Bonnie (Jim) and Arnie (Tracy) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, George and Elva; brother Doug; son, Michael; nephew, Ryan; parents in-law, Hugh and Jean; and sister in-law, MaryAnne.

Ken, thanks for being our everything... you were the best husband, the best stepdad, the best grandpa and the best doggy dad to Lacey and Maggie. We love and miss you so much already. You were our strength, support and heart of our family and we are struggling to process that you are no longer with us.
