Kenneth (Kenny) Albert Oberg

January 9, 1965 — January 28, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Albert Oberg. Affectionately known as Kenny, or Kenny Benny by family and friends. We will always remember him for his humour and many memories of laughter and silliness. No matter what the circumstance, Kenny never failed to make you laugh.

Kenny was predeceased by his daughter's Tasha and Crystal, father Kenneth SR, nephew Danny and sister Kim. He is survived by his mother Helen, stepfather Ken, brother Michael, sisters Heather, Michelle, Brenda, Mary, daughters Lisa, Tanya, Santana and Claudia, grandchildren Mario, Marcus, Milania, Jasmin, Jenna, Mikayla, Brandon, Braedyn, Ashton, Aaliyah, Zade and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Kenny was born on January 9th, 1965 in Vancouver, British Columbia to Helen and Kenneth Oberg. He grew up in Saskatoon, SK. He worked in the mines as a driller's helper and also in the factory line at Intercon Packers. He always had a natural born talent for mechanics in the way that he could fix or tinker with anything.

Kenny had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and bikes in general. He also had a strong love and connection with all animals, be it wild or domestic. Any animal he met loved him. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Sam, Bambam, Pebbles and Tug. Kenny loved being surrounded by friends and family, he showed his love with his talent for cooking. We share memories with him enjoying summers at Uncle Nick's cabin, fishing, barbecuing, and enjoying a cold one.

Next time you enjoy a cold pepsi, give a cheers to our funny guy Kenny.

The Memorial Service will take place at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Avenue North) on Thursday, February 6th, 2025 at 2pm. A very special thanks to Darren Kaytor, a lifelong family friend, for being the celebrant for Kenny's service. Another thanks to Gerry, the very helpful funeral director, and his urn bearer, (brother) Michael Oberg.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prairie Harm Reduction, the Bridge on 20th or the Saskatoon SPCA.

"When I come to the end of the road

And the sun has set for me

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free?"
