Kevin John Mitchener

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of Kevin John Mitchener. He passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 60.

He is survived by his wife Tammy Mitchener and her children Chris (Samantha), Ashley (Thomas), Danielle, Shawn (Jessica), and 14 grandchildren. He was also survived by his siblings Dale, Paul, Neil (Sherry), Lorraine (Glenn), Richard (Deanna), Carol (Bill-deceased), Rose (Milton), Perry (Rhonda), Theresa (Roger), Vyenda (Kelvin), Cindy (Randy), and 26 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Cecil & Hazel Mitchener and brother James Mitchener.

Kevin was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on May 13, 1966. He was born and raised the 12th child to his parents Cecil and Hazel.

Kevin was a hard worker and enjoyed a career in carpentry and construction. His coworkers liked working with him and would often ask for him on their crew/ project.

Kevin was a kind and caring man who had a love for music, dancing and drums. Kevin and Tammy were married on June 18, 2005. They enjoyed spending time together at Eagle Creek, swimming, golfing, and attending the Jamborees. They visited many lakes and enjoyed the river in Saskatoon.

He could often be found working in the yard with some of his grandchildren on one of his many vehicles.

He enjoyed time outside listening to music and spending time with his family. Kevin loved home cooked meals, especially chilli. He liked having barbeques/ get togethers and enjoying laughter with his family.

Kevin will be sadly missed by all that knew him and will be laid to rest at a later date with his family.
