Lauralee Emigh

1968 — April 20, 2022

EMIGH, LauraLee (nee Knorr)

1968  -  2022

It is with profound sadness and deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Laura Emigh on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Laura was born in Thunder Bay Ontario on October 5, 1968 to William and Elaine Knorr. Also welcoming her to the world at that time were brother Richard (Rick) and sister AnnaMarie.

In 1973 the family moved to Saskatchewan and settled in the Battlefords. Laura worked at many of the traditional jobs growing up, such as delivering papers, babysitting, working at a clothing store, and eventually onto Saskatchewan Hospital which was the start of a long career in the healthcare field. She graduated from Battleford Comprehensive High School in 1986. Shortly thereafter she spread her wings and moved to Saskatoon. She continued in the healthcare field briefly working at Saskatoon City Hospital and in October 1987 moved to Sherbrooke Community Care Center where she assumed nursing assistant duties. She loved her career and developed many strong bonds with the residents she cared for. Thanks to her dedication and sincere compassion and love for all the residents in 2019 she was honored with the Veteran’s Village care partner of the year award.

It was in Saskatoon she met her future husband Trent Emigh. They were married July 18, 1998. On May 9, 1999 they welcomed their son Robert Dillon into the world, followed by their daughter Sienna Lee Rain on December 17,  2003. Laura treasured and cherished her children and provided them boundless love and devotion. Laura's talents were many, not the least of which was planning fun and elaborate birthday parties and celebrations for the kids. She was an incredible designer/maker of halloween outfits with the kids often taking home first place honors in halloween costume contests. When she wasn't busy with the kids or running them to activities she enjoyed home decorating, baking, caring for her plants and yard, and was a lover of all creatures big and small. She was an absolutely incredible loving mom with a truly beautiful soul and a great friend to many.

Left to mourn her passing are Trent, Dillon and Sienna; Trent's parents Robert and Joan Emigh; Mike Emigh, and children Miranda, David, Dallas; and Maureen Emigh; parents William and Elaine Knorr, brother Rick and sister AnnaMarie her husband Ron and daughter Marla, as well as  Elsie, Janess, Linda, and Deena, who are just a few of her many special friends. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. There will be a small private gathering to Remember and Celebrate Laura's life.
