Lauren Meier of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 28, 2025 at the age of 45.
Left to treasure Lauren's memory are her dad Rod (Pedzi); mom Bonnie (Mel); sister Kathy (Mark) Kruger: brothers Cameron (Janelle), Rob (Paula) and George (Sarah); nephews Tarquin and Ethan (Kruger); nieces Haily, Eva, Kayden, Holland and Rhiannon (Kruger).
She was preceded in death by infant sister Kelly and cherished grandparents Fred and Len Meier and Bob and Jean Christie.
Lauren lived a remarkable life during which she had an impact on the lives of many people both in her personal relationships and her working career. She was a compassionate and caring individual who often took care of others' needs, particularly her close friends, before her own. Her thirst for knowledge steered exploration into both technological and creative undertakings. Visiting friends and family were frequently surprised by a new piece of technology or supplies for an interesting and very often complex art project.
Lauren particularly enjoyed her career as a software developer at a firm where she was a respected team member and valued for her contributions.
A remembrance of life will be held on August 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Family Centre with parking across the street at the Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Ave North).
An informal program will commence at 2:15 p.m. Opportunity will be provided for you to share your memories of Lauren. If you are unable to attend and/or are not comfortable speaking, please share your memories in the guestbook at the bottom of this page.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Lauren's behalf to OUTSaskatoon at outsaskatoon.ca
