Lloyd Kuz

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Lloyd passed away peacefully on April 4th after a brief stay in the palliative care unit at St. Paul’s Hospital.

Lloyd was born in Zoborew, Ukraine on October 4th, 1941 and is survived by his children Maria, Lisa (Todd), Michael (Rhonda), Jack (Stacey) and Lauri. His grandchildren, Luca (Sofia), Dante, Jake, Quinn, Kade (Darian), Gracie, Kayla, Katie and his great granddaughter, Jordyn and he loved them all dearly. He also leaves behind his brother Bob (Susan) along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was recently predeceased by his loving wife Vicky Howey of 35 years in 2025 as well as his father, Phillip Kuz in 1968 and mother, Stefania Kuz in 1995.

After coming to Canada, Lloyd grew up in Bigger and Rosetown and eventually moved to Saskatoon where he worked a few years in the family’s Pleasant Hill Bakery then went on to work at Saskatoon Centennial Auditorium where he had a long successful career, eventually retiring in 1995. In retirement, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage, spending time with family, and spoiling his grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his stubbornness, sarcasm and wit, resilience and words of wisdom. He is deeply loved and will be forever missed.

The family is grateful for the excellent care he received from the staff on the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital and Royal University Hospital.

In keeping with Lloyd’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. We are grateful for your kind words and thoughts.
