It is with heavy hearts that we regret to inform you of our beloved Loretta Ham's passing in the early hours of Thursday, December 26th, 2025. She passed away peacefully in Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Kindersley, SK. on August 10th, 1957. Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Carl Ham. Also, predeceased by her Dad, Lloyd Larock; brother, Chuck Larock; and nephew Jonathon Bergen; as well as her grandparents and her Auntie, Dot Wood.
She will be lovingly remembered by her Mom, Margaret Boser (Larock); her sister, Debbie (Brian) Bergen and their families; sister-in- law Luella (Marlene) Larock; two step-daughters, Tabatha (Rob) Mitchell and her family; Leanne (Bruce) James and her family; step-son Richard (Jessica) Ham and his family; nieces Sherri Larock, her partner Jesse and her family (Calgary); Rachelle Larock, her partner Randy and her family (Red Deer); Meagan (Richard) Routley and her family.
Loretta was diagnosed with MS more than 40 years ago - but we know she had it before then. She went to school in Flaxcombe and Eatonia. Attended U of S in Saskatoon for a year but didn't like the Science courses, so switched to Kelsey (now Polytechnic) where she achieved her RN diploma. She nursed in many places, some of which included Calgary Foothills Hospital, North Battleford, and many northern communities.
A very special thanks to Oliver Lodge staff for their compassionate and understanding care of Loretta for the past almost 8 years. We would also like to acknowledge and thank both Royal University Hospital Emergency staff, 6th floor staff, for her 24 hour care. For the past 6 weeks, we thank St. Paul's Hospital Emergency staff as well as 5th floor medicine staff for their excellent care during the 3 times she had been there.
Donations may made, if you so desire, to MS Canada or to a charity of your choice in memory of Loretta.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31st at 11:00 a.m. in Mayfair United Church in Saskatoon. Lunch will follow at the Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
