Marc Benson

Marc Hubert Benson was born on April 7, 1964, at Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane, Ontario. He was the youngest child born to Hubert and Carmen Benson.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter Celeste (Norman), and his sons Christopher and Shawn. Mother Carmen Bonneau, Sisters: Jeanne-Marie and Nadyne, brothers: Joe (Debbie) and Philip (Gayle), numerous nieces and nephews. As well, by the mother of his sons and best friend, Laurie-Ann.

Marc had many jobs in his lifetime; short-order cook, Bingo Caller, cab driver and deck designer, builder and painter. His special love was building and painting, but health problems prevented him from pursuing his passion.

Marc had many interests. He loved playing BINGO, cribbage and other games. Music was one of his main passions. He loved to sing Karaoke and listened to a wide variety of bands and genres. Freddie Mercury and Elvis were his heroes. He also loved to impart snippets of musical trivia to anyone who would listen. With his easy charm and sense of humour, Marc made friends wherever he went.

He was a loving family man and appreciated spending time with his children. Marc enjoyed playing pool and introducing his favourite musical influences to them.

Marc passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 5, 2025. He will be sorely missed.

A Funeral Service for Marc will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Saskatoon Funeral Home. (338 4th Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK.)
