Lynne Agnew died on August 10, 2026 at Saskatoon, surrounded by family. She was born Margaret Lynne England in 1936 in Prince Albert, where as a teenager she became a nationally-ranked tennis player. She moved to Saskatoon to study nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. She married Quent Agnew and together they had three children. A lifetime interest in the humanities led her, after the children were grown, to return to university and obtain a B.A. in philosophy. She was active in politics, managing campaigns at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. She is survived by Nicki Agnew, Leena Thomas and Doug Agnew, Nicole Theriot and Tom Agnew, and Max Agnew.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice at Glengarda.
