Margo Elizabeth Blom was born on August 20th, 1944 in Rotterdam to her parents Theodore and Anna Blom. She was one of 15 children. She experienced the effects of World War II. In 1952 Margo and her family immigrated to Canada and she became a citizen in 1959.
Margo had a twin sister Elizabeth. They finished hair-dressing School of the Marvel in Saskatoon. They opened a business in Port Credit, Ontario as teens and it was very successful. They later moved back to Saskatoon. Elizabeth got married and Margo started a salon on 2nd Avenue and later on 3rd Avenue. She had loyal customers and was known for her good quality of work. She also had a house on Hugo Avenue and supported her mother and sister Caroline.
She lived and was well cared for the last nine years of her life at Luther Care Home on Wiggins Avenue. She died on May 13, 2026, at the age of 81.
Margo is predeceased by her parents Theodore and Anna Blom; her brothers Michael, Ferdinand, Theodore, Tony, Peter, Benedict, and her twin sister Elizabeth. Margo is survived by her sisters Caroline and Lucy; her brother Vince as well as many nieces and nephews.
