Marian Schlosser

Marian Schlosser, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on May 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She lived a life rooted in her Catholic faith, which guided her through every joy and challenge.

Marian is survived by her children; Leann Lingel (Dave Scott), Wendy Thompson, Dean (Valerie) Schlosser, Lorne (Christina) Schlosser, Randy Schlosser (Suzanne Fullman-Carson), Ariole Kayce, Mark (Karla) Schlosser and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Gordon (Veronica) Hanson, Harold (Carol) Hanson, Lorette Bzowy

Marian was predeceased by: Alice Danley, Phyllis Hughes, Vern Hanson.

Born on January 29, 1942, on a farm in Archerwill, Marian married Melvin Schlosser in 1959. Together, they farmed near Cudworth and raised seven children, instilling in them a strong sense of work ethic and the values of hard work and dedication.

Marian's Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. She had a strong devotion to the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, finding strength and solace in her prayers. She attended church regularly and found strength in her beliefs, sharing her faith with those around her.

As a talented painter, Marian spent many hours creating beautiful works of art, showcasing her talent, and later sharing her passion by teaching others to paint. Her artwork brought her immense joy and served as a reflection of her vibrant spirit, often inspired by her faith and the beauty of God’s creation.

For many years, Marian owned Silence of the North, a northern resort; fishing, hunting, campfires, and family bonding were at the heart of the experiences shared there, creating lasting connections and cherished memories.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish in Saskatoon. Interment will take place at a later date in Archerwill, SK

Marian will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of faith and creativity will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
