It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Marilyn Migneault, age 85, on April 9, 2026. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons Dean (Donna) and Alan (Janna); grandchildren Steven, Christina, AJ, Amy and Megan; 8 great grandchildren; and her sister Faye Holtby. Marilyn was predeceased by: her husband of 60 years, Ron Migneault; her mother, Laura Gibson; her father, Alex Gibson; and her brother, Jim Gibson.
Marilyn was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan in 1940 and after graduating high school she took a certificate program in Medicine Hat and entered the world of business beginning with working at the City of Swift Current. Marilyn and Ron always made Saskatchewan their home but moved around between Regina, Yorkton and Saskatoon, where they lived since 1984. During Marilyn's working career she was often in retail sales including many years as an owner of a ladies' shoe store in Yorkton.
She cherished her time with friends and family and could be convinced to do whatever her grandchildren wanted. Over the years, Ron and Marilyn were active in social activities, primarily golf and curling and enjoyed spending time with the close long-term friends they had developed.
Our family has many fond memories that will forever be cherished. We would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the care providers who helped Marilyn since being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and ensured her comfort in her final few days.
For those so wishing, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to a charity of your choice. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home, followed by a reception, then interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
