Marjorie Soledad Legare, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the age of 57.
She was born on March 24, 1968, in Viña del Mar, Chile, a place that always held a special place in her heart.
Marjorie had a deep love for children and dedicated much of her life to nurturing and caring for them through her work in various daycares in Saskatoon and Moose Jaw. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and endless creativity made her a favorite among the children she taught and cared for.
An artist at heart, Marjorie loved painting and coloring, often spending hours with her many treasured coloring books. She had a joyful spirit and a vibrant love for all things bright and whimsical-glitter, unicorns, and butterflies were among her favorites. Music was another great passion of hers; she especially loved Elvis Presley and music from the 1980s. If a movie from the '80s was playing, you could be sure Marjorie was watching, with classics like Gone with the Wind, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, and Return to Me among her favorites.
Marjorie's faith was central to her life. As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many roles and found great joy and purpose through her service. Her years attending an LDS school in Chile were among her fondest memories.
Marjorie shared 34 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband Dean, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She is survived by her husband Dean; her parents Mario and Lucy; her brother Mauricio (Carmen); her sisters Janet (Rod) and Luciana; her mother-in-law Sandy Boughen; and her sisters-in-law Sherri and Lisa. Marjorie's pride and joy were her nieces and nephews: Natalia, Siera, Giovanni, Leighton, Emilia, Orlando, Marcello, Luna, and Inti along with her great-niece Sofia. She also leaves behind her beloved furry son, Kasper.
Marjorie's legacy is one of kindness, creativity, faith, and unconditional love. She touched countless lives with her warmth and gentle spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
