Mary Szabo

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Szabo, age 87, on October 30, 2024 at RUH. Mary peacefully passed away surrounded by her family. She was ready to be reunited with the love of her life Zoltan "Sonny" Szabo, after spending 9 years apart. They shared a beautiful and loving 53 years together in life and will continue to share many more. Throughout Mary's life she raised three children of her own, but touched countless lives through the children she fostered. Her generosity knew no bounds as she never turned anyone away.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Perry (Janice), Sheri, and Rob (Carlane), and her brother Rick (Gloria) and children RJ, Kerri and family. Her grandchildren, Alicia (Theo) and Elizabeth, Shay (Cam) and Sara, Zoli and Saul; and her great grandchildren Frederick and Percival. Mary was the centre of the family who held us together through the good and bad times. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary's wishes were to be cremated with no memorial service and to have her ashes combined with Sonny's. Her final wishes have been fulfilled. We love you grams.
