Maureen Martha Murray (nee Libbey), May 8, 1941 - January 9, 2025, was one in a million. Funny, whip smart, kind, adventurous, resilient, charming, generous and loving. Her smile lit up every room she entered and every life she touched.
Maureen will always be in our hearts and lovingly remembered by so many. She is survived by her 3 girls, Jo-Anne (Lyndon) Neher, Jan (Dave) Eastwood, Angela (Dennis) Russell; her 3 grandchildren, Kyle (Gillian) Eastwood, Ali Neher, Ozzie Neher, and her brand new great grandson Lincoln, her best friends Louise Hoffert and Carmen Burke, her brother Terry, nieces and nephews, her cousins who were special in her heart, her fourth daughter related by love, Sherri Hunchak, and the many friends and coworkers she cherished. She is predeceased by her parents Hazen Glenn and Martha Libbey and her brother Ken Libbey.
Maureen loved to travel and wrote about her trips for 17 years as the Director of Public Relations and Government Affairs at CAA Saskatchewan in Regina. She loved writing, dancing and singing in different women's chorus groups. One of her favorite songs, 'I Hope You Dance', embodies everything Maureen. Her favorite prayer is The Prayer of St. Francis. We know she is dancing and singing again.
A celebration of life and mass will be held in the summer months.
