Mavis Lavinia Hopewell

Mavis Lavinia Hopewell was born in Montreal, QC. on September 19, 1931 and passed away April 14, 2020 from complication of pneumonia at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Mavis was a fantastic cook and was brilliant when it came to world affairs. She spent time working and helping out with several senior clubs in Saskatoon. Mavis retired from the University of Saskatchewan, Pathology Dept. where she worked as head stenographer. Mavis was predeceased by her loving husband, George H. Hopewell in 1962. She is survived by her son, Graeme (Ann); her daughter, Cathy (David); and 6 grandchildren. The family gives the greatest gratitude to the many caregivers that assisted in her care in recent years. Mavis will be cremated and buried with her husband, George, at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal, QC. A celebration of her life will take place there at a later date. Pain free Mavis can now rest in peace.
