Mervin Osman, born on October 31, 1936, in Struan Saskatchewan , passed away peacefully in Saskatoon on December 1, 2024, at the age of 88.
Mervin spent his early years in Saskatoon, where he developed a strong work ethic. He began his career as a mechanic for Bowman Brothers, and then went on to Kelsey, where he took the Renewable Resources course eventually becoming the teacher for the fisheries department .
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mervin, alongside his beloved wife Lois Osman, operated The Hobby Shop, a cherished local business.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 67 years Lois Osman, and his loving parents, John and Martha Osman.
Mervin is survived by his children: Debbie Towsley (Bob), Cheryl Puteria (Dave), and Lyndon Osman (Laura). He leaves behind a legacy in his grandchildren: Brent Towsley (Kyla), Reid Towsley (Jodi Cadman), Jeremy Puteria (Lyndsey Busler), Noelle Mark (Doug), and Elizabeth Osman. His great-grandchildren, Phoenix Towsley, Emily Towsley, Alexis Puteria, Sydney Puteria, and Mason Mark, will also carry forward his memory and the values he instilled.
A graveside service will be held at a later date to honor Mervin's life and legacy. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have offered support during this time of mourning.
