Nick passed away in Saskatoon on May 12, 2026. He is survived by his daughter Kelly Wawryk and her children Ashley Nemanishen (Chris), Kayla Epp (Preston), daughter Sherry Peters (Ken) and their children Brandon ( Stephanie), Reily  (Jordan) and Owen. His son Chris Wawryk and his daughters Hailey and Heidi, brothers Paul, Steven (Chris) and sister Elaine (Lloyd). His great grandchildren Kayton, Braxton, Bentley, Jax and Cedric.

He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy, son Chad, grandson Cody, parents John and Mary Wawryk, in laws Felix and Loretta Larmand, brother Orest, sisters in law Pauline Wawryk and Audrey Wawryk.

Nick was born and raised at Blaine Lake where he attended grades one through twelve. He was employed at Intercontinental Packers and Dairy World.

He belonged to St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church where he served as an Alter Boy in his younger years. He and Dorothy belonged to St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Saskatoon.

Nick was an avid and very enthusiastic hockey player, pool shark, loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed camping, cooking and crossword puzzles. He and Dorothy also enjoyed spending time at the family cabin where they always had an open door for family and friends.

Memorial donations in Nick's memory can be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, 102-1848 McOrmond Drive, Saskatoon Sk. S7S 0A5 or to the Lung Association (COPD), 2308 Arlington Ave. Saskatoon Sk. S7J 3L3.

The family has chosen to hold a private funeral service for close family and friends.
