Patricia Ann Kolibab

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Kolibab on August 10, 2026, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 72.

Pat was born on September 20, 1953, in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, to John and Mary Andrew. She later moved to Saskatoon, where she grew up alongside her siblings, John, Jim, Ken (Susan), and Kathy (Darryl Johnson). Pat attended St. Joseph's Elementary School and Holy Cross High School in Saskatoon. Her childhood was filled with cherished memories spent with her siblings and cousins.

In 1972, Pat met Bernie Kolibab of Wakaw, and after a short courtship, they were married on October 20, 1973. In 1977, they took over the Kolibab family farm, where they built a life together and raised their three sons: Curtis (Shantel, Kylie, Brock), Michael (Sarah, Wyatt, Weston), and Ryan (Patricia Serano and family).

Life on the farm brought Pat many new experiences and countless memories. From raising chickens and caring for cattle to canning, gardening, and helping with grain farming, Pat embraced farm life wholeheartedly. It was a wonderful place to raise their boys and a place where she helped instill in them the importance of hard work, family, and enjoying the simple things in life.

Along with working on the farm and raising her family, Pat worked at Wakaw School as a Teacher Associate for 23 years. She later spent an additional 5 years working as a substitute with the Saskatoon Catholic School Board. Pat took great pride in her work and in the many relationships she formed throughout those years.

Pat and Bernie sold the family farm in 1995 and moved into Wakaw, where they remained until relocating to Saskatoon in 2014. Together, they enjoyed many memorable vacations and travelled to destinations around the world. Summers were often spent camping at Weyakwin and fishing from their pontoon boat - times that brought Pat great happiness.

Pat had many talents and hobbies. She loved sewing, knitting, making perogies, baking, puzzling, playing games, and gardening. She found joy in creating things for others and in the simple pleasures of home and family.

One of Pat's greatest joys was becoming a grandmother to Kylie, Brock, Wyatt, and Weston. Her grandchildren were truly the loves of her life, and she treasured every moment she spent with them. Whether playing school, dolls, cars, or mini-sticks, Grandma was always ready to join in. She was their biggest cheerleader at hockey and ringette games. She gave them countless hours of her time, attention, and love, creating memories they will carry with them forever.

Pat's family was incredibly blessed to have such a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her strength, warmth, guidance, and unwavering love helped shape her family and will continue to be felt for generations to come.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Andrew; Bernie's parents, Michael and Pauline Kolibab; and her brother-in-law, Lawrence Kolibab.

To our many friends and family, we thank you for the love and support you have shown Pat and our family throughout her journey.

A special thank you to Dr. Ward and Dr. Martin, along with all of the nursing staff and care teams who cared for Pat over the past few years. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, compassion, and care you showed Pat and our family.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held on August XX, 2026, at XX:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Parish, 3339 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon. Pat will be laid to rest at The Columbarium at St. John’s Cathedral.
