Patricia Alice Ouellette

September 4, 1945 — March 2, 2026

Patricia Alice Ouellette (Dalshaug) was born on September 4, 1945, in Wadena, SK and passed away on March 2, 2026, in Saskatoon, SK, surrounded by the love of her family.

Pat is survived by her husband of 63 years, Victor; her children Terry (Theressa Wright), Gordy (Jackie), Wendy (Clint Peterson), and Trevor (Marla); and her cherished grandchildren Christopher, Kyle, Corey, Ty, Randi, Lane, Addison, and Annika, as well as three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Jane, Gordon (Lana), Adele, and sister-in-law Alice.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Margaret Dalshaug; her siblings Keith, Donna, and Faye; her parents-in-law George and Lena Ouellette; and in-laws Larry Unger, Wayne Kjarsgaard, Mary Ouellette, and Ken Ouellette.

Pat was a true sportswoman. She excelled in basketball through high school at Bedford Road Collegiate and later at Mount Royal Collegiate. Fiercely competitive and never one to sit on the sidelines, she was always ready to join a game — sometimes even alongside the older boys. In her youth, she was a dedicated softball catcher and later played with the Credit Union Women’s softball team.

When she and her daughter Wendy discovered ringette, Pat stepped naturally into coaching, dedicating many years to the sport and proudly taking several teams to nationals. She also spent countless early mornings and late evenings in hockey rinks, faithfully cheering on her sons. If one of her children or grandchildren was playing, Pat was there — her support unwavering and enthusiastic.

Her full-time work with Saskatoon Credit Union and Hitachi in their Human Resources departments never slowed her down. At home, she poured her energy into baking, sewing, knitting, quilting, and gardening. There was always a project underway, often alongside Vic. Her gardens flourished abundantly — more than enough for their own needs — and she took great joy in not only sharing the garden harvest with her family, but more often than not with the Friendship Inn. She made blankets for every occasion and often donated the extra ones to women’s shelters.

Family gatherings were at the heart of Pat’s life. Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays — no occasion was too small to celebrate. She believed food and family went hand in hand and lovingly “pulled out all the stops” for every gathering. Most celebrations were hosted at home, whether in the city, at the acreage at Pike Lake, or in Langham, where laughter and full tables were guaranteed.

Pat also had a special love for dogs. She and Vic began breeding Miniature Schnauzers, and it was not uncommon to find lively pups scampering throughout the house, adding to the joyful chaos she embraced so fully.

Pat did not wish to have a funeral service. A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family later this year.

Her strength, energy, generosity, and deep love for her family leave a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
