It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Pearl Chudyk. She passed away on December 4 th, 2022 at the Spruce Manor Care Home in Dalmeny, at the age of 90. She will be remembered by her son Danny (Jenny) and her daughter Patty; her 9 grandchildren, Michael ( Tracy ), Carey, Charity (Jason), Melody ( Brandon ); Ashley (Mike), Kyle (Ally), Evan; Cherry (Stephen) and Tristin; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, daughter, Sonia, son-in-law Joel, her parents, Bill and Mary Verigin, her sisters, Ann, Florence , Mary and her brother, Bill.

Pearl and Peter were married in March of 1952 in Thrums, B.C. where she grew up, and they had a 2 nd ceremony in Saskatchewan in April on the Chudyk family farm. They moved to various small towns in Saskatchewan where Dad was a grain buyer and mom was a homemaker. They started on the farm south-west of Langham, and then moved to Ranger, then Arelee, then Hague where they spent most of their years raising a family. Finally they moved to Langham where they spent their retirement years.

Mom enjoyed many things. She sold Avon for a time in Hague. She loved to golf, curl, play Kaiser, fishing, and working in her gardens and taking care of her flowers. She was an amazing cook, making pyrohi, borscht, bread, pies and many other things that were appreciated and enjoyed by family and friends.

Mom and Dad enjoyed their time camping at Chitek Lake and later at their cabin. They spent many hours golfing, socializing, fishing etc. It seemed like Mom would out fish Dad quite a bit. Maybe that had something to do with her changing her hook every 2-3 casts.

Her Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, December 9th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saskatoon Funeral Home, ( 338 4 th Ave. N. ). Her interment will be later that day at the Pakrowka (Henrietta) Cemetery west of Langham.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Spruce Manor Care Home in Dalmeny for the love and special care you gave our mom. We couldn’t ask for anything nicer.
