Pearl Madeline Delparte

Pearl passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the age of 98. Pearl will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sons Michael (Eleanor), Tim (Faye), Jeff (Hope), Grant (Susan) and daughter Jan (Dale), fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great- grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Fred Gould in 1970, husband Denis Delparte in 1990, her parents and three sisters. Pearl was born, raised and educated in Saskatoon. She was an avid card player and achieved Life Master status with the Saskatoon Bridge Club. She was an active member of the Miriam Rebekah Lodge for many years. Her love of gardening and flowers led to a 25 year florist career at the Rose Bowl Flower shop. One of her proudest accomplishments was taking an art class and learning to paint at the age of 80. Nothing was more important to Pearl than her family and friends. She was always there with a smile and a story, and whether it was a personal visit or a phone call, she had a way of making you feel special, and was always very interested in how and what everyone was up to. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Edwards Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
