Sherstobetoff 1940 - 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pearl Alexandria Sherstobetoff (née Konkin) of Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan on August 21, 2024 at the Battlefords Union Hospital. With her loving husband George by her side, she passed on the day of their 59th wedding anniversary at the age of 83. Pearl is also survived by her son, George Jr., and his sons Jace, Jake, and Koda Ryder of Saskatoon; and Jason (Tanys) and their children Austin, Zoie, Anna, and Ruby of Blaine Lake. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Annie Konkin, and her sisters, Agatha (Bill) Kardash and Mabel (Garry) Fraser.Pearl was born on September 17, 1940 in the Ospenia District of Blaine Lake. She enjoyed a long career, which included tenures at Blaine Lake CIBC and Saskatoon City Hospital. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and Baba, who was treasured for her hospitality, compassion, humour, and outgoing spirit. Pearl unconditionally loved her family, sharing with them the fruits of her garden and kitchen, while also encouraging them in their sports, music, and academic endeavours. Furthermore, she selflessly supported the family farm and the Blaine Lake Doukhobor Prayer Home. Over her last years, she never complained about her declining health, but instead fought valiantly until the end. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and community. Pearl’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the incredible staff of the Hafford Special Care Centre and the Battlefords Union Hospital. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
