Phyllis Delores Elder

Phyllis Elder, of Saskatoon, SK passed away on Dec 16, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born in Revenue, SK on February 9, 1941. Phyllis is survived by her husband Henry Shypth, her children Brent Keen (Suzanne), Troy Keen (Michelle) and Earl Keen (Carol). Six grandchildren Alex, Wesley, Payton, Austin, Dallen, Ethan and Brigitte. Three great-grandchildren Turner, Lena and Lawson as well many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Jean Elder, Edith Elder, Jim Elder, Diane Miedema and Doug Elder. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Louis Elder and Lena Elder, son Dwayne Keen (Tracy), husband George Keen, second husband Karpo Nykiforuk, brothers Louis Elder, Leo Elder, Phillip Elder, Jerry Elder and sister Donna Gibb. Phyllis was a devoted mother to her four sons. She worked at the Saskatoon Rural Health Region for many years. Phyllis’ kitchen and garden brought her no end of delight. She was an excellent cook and passionate about preserving and cooking food from her garden. Her sons fondly remember hours spent fishing with her and having campfires at Turtle Lake. She was known for her strong devotion to her Catholic Faith. A funeral service will be held on December 28, at 2:00 PM at the Saskatoon Funeral Home.
