Fern passed away peacefully March 11,2023
Fern was raised on her family’s farm east of Hanley. She attended Allan Hills & Blue Hills schools, Saskatoon Normal School, U of S to receive her Bachelor of Education and spent 40 years teaching school at Hanley and other schools in the district. When she wasn’t teaching she was busy with farm life – happy to be a farmer’s wife and mother of Jane & Dale. Fern was very active in her senior years in the community and in the Senior Citizen Associations, both provincially & federally.
Fern is survived by her husband of 4 years Gerhard Fork, daughter Jane Moxam, son Dale(Carol), her 4 grandchildren – Lee Raito, Petri Raito(Marni), Dallas Haight(Corrinne), Rachelle Ash(James), 2 step-grandchildren Angela Stewart(Barrie), Jason Blum(Hiroe) and her 8 great grandchildren Emma Raito, Hanna Raito, Grace Raito, Neeya Raito, Neeko Raito, Carter Haight, Kaitlyn Haight, Warner Ash, 4 step-grandchildren Colette Willock (Mike),Eric Stewart, Caroline Stewart, Aina Blum and 2 great,great grandchildren Lydia Willock, Oscar Willock. She is also survived by her sister Mary Gullacher & many nieces & nephews & their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, George Haight, her parents Oakley & Margaret Wood and in laws Charles & Ethel Haight, her son in law, Murray Moxam as well as 2 sisters, 2 brothers and several brother in laws and sister in laws.
Fern lived a long and full life.
