Robert 'Rob' Gleave

June 24, 1976 — December 13, 2025

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert William Gleave at the age of 49.

Rob was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, and spent a few early years in Dodsland before moving to Preeceville, where he attended school and made lifelong connections.

In his younger years, Rob spent much of his time farming with his family in the Preeceville area, which sparked his lifelong love for mechanics. Truly a jack of all trades, Rob never shied away from trying something new. Over the years, he worked in roofing, mechanics alongside his cousin Dwayne, the oil rigs, autobody with his cousin Darren, welding with AGI, and even started his own oilfield company for several years.

Later in life, he earned his GED and went on to achieve his Journeyman Pipefitter certification-an accomplishment he was proud of and one that reflected his determination and strong work ethic.

Rob spent 15 years working with Strike and later founded JAWS Enterprises Inc.; a business he was incredibly proud to call his own.

In 2009, Rob met the love of his life, Lisa, and they were married in 2012. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two daughters, Violet and Cecily, who were the light of Rob's life. He loved spending time with his girls. He was their teacher, their in house comedian and their protector.

Rob was known for his happy-go-lucky nature and his ability to bring a smile to everyone around him. He was carefree, loving, and always there for anyone who needed help. He had a great sense of humor, was full of stories, and was famous for giving the very best hugs. Rob was truly a pillar of his family.

Outside of work, Rob enjoyed camping and boating with his family, pulling wrenches, dirt biking, working on vehicles, spending time outdoors and at the gun range. Above all, he cherished time with those he loved.

Rob is survived by his loving wife Lisa; daughters Violet and Cecily; his mother Sylvia; brother Wally (Jordyn); sisters Angie (Mike), Sarah (Paul), Christina (Mike), and Jaycee (Camden); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father William, brother David, paternal grandparents Wallace and Vera, and maternal grandparents John and Anna.

Rob will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, laughter, humor and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
