Ronald Keith Arnstead

1950 — December 29, 2017

Ronald Keith Arnstead 1950-2017 Ron's family is saddened to announce his unexpected passing from natural causes on December 29 in his home at Luther Tower in Saskatoon. Ron is predeceased by his father Ken, and his mother Rose. He is survived by his sister Donna of Saskatoon, his brother Derwin (Chris) of Regina, nephews Keith and Neil, and many cousins, aunts and an uncle. Ron's passion in life was farming, first with his father, and later on his own, at the family farm near Hagen. During the early years, he commuted from the farm to Prince Albert where he worked in sales and in correctional services. He was an active member of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Saron Church, and the Hymnsters, a men's chorus in the Hagen district. Ron attentively cared for his parents so they could spend their retirement years on the farm. He moved to Luther Tower in 2013 where he liked to watch sports on the big screen and enjoyed talking to people about the Riders and the Blue Jays, two of his favourite teams. Special thanks go to the caring staff and residents who made Ron's time at Luther Tower enjoyable. A memorial service and interment will be held later in the year. Memorial donations may be made to Luther Tower at 1223 Temperance St., Saskatoon S7N 0P2.
