Rose-Alma Boutin

Mom passed away on December 29th in the loving embrace of her children.  She was 98 glorious years young.  She lived her life in faith loving her husband of 50 years and raised seven children, welcomed 20 grandchildren, cradled 41 great-grandchildren and delighted in 1 great-great-granddaughter.  Mom joins in eternal peace her husband Philippe, son Louis, sons-in-law Dwight Marquis and Ray Pool as well as numerous siblings.  She is survived by Julia Pool, Pat Boutin, Maurice (Audrey) Boutin, Arthur Boutin (Donna McNeill), Beatrice (Jim) Simpson, Mariette Marquis-Begrand (Ray Begrand), and Cecile (Lee) Gudmundson.  A woman of compassion and strength leaves a legacy of love.  Her arms were always ready with a welcoming hug.  She shared her generous spirit and understanding ways.  She was woven into every facet of our lives and you always knew that she was your number one fan.  Her favorite times involved a lively card game which she usually won.  Her shy, humble demeanor disguised a vibrant, playful person that enjoyed playing practical jokes and quality family time.  Her family was blessed with the results of her sewing and crafts.  Her bread, fudge and meat pies were simply legendary.  She enjoyed gardening on her deck, producing stunning flowers and vegetables. Donations can be given for a future Chalice Project in Rose’s name to a family member. The Vigil of Prayer will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Parish (217 Lenore Drive).
