Ruth Choponis

Ruth Choponis, 82, of Saskatoon Saskatchewan passed away with her family by her side on December 4, 2025, at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Ruth is survived by her son Cory (Erin) Choponis, grandchildren Matt and Morgan Choponis, sister Joyce Lucier, brother Allan Matiuk, nephew Ed Choponis, and niece Kelly Black.

Ruth worked at the Bessborough Hotel as a cashier in the cafe, before going on to own and operate Tip Top Dry Cleaning in Saskatoon until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed reading, watching scary movies, and was an avid fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadiens. Her greatest joy was her family. She was very supportive of her grandchildren - attending all their activities and taking great pleasure in babysitting when they were little. Ruth's son Cory was her pride and joy. She loved him through his childhood mischievousness and was so proud of him and the life he built as an adult. Ruth loved her time at Cory and Erin's lake house and enjoyed "sneaking" treats to her grand dogs.

At Ruth's request, there will be no funeral service.
