Sandra Lee Galambos

It is with a resounding sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Galambos, 65. She died comfortably, knowing she was loved, surrounded by her favourite people, at Royal University Hospital on July 28th, 2026.

Sandra was born to Norman and Lucille Reidt in 1961 and grew up with her sister, Connie, near the small town of Leask.

It was in this small town that she met the love of her life, Murray Galambos. Together, Sandra and Murray created a beautiful life and raised 3 amazing kids. Murray and Sandra were married for 45 years and throughout that time shared many adventures that included fishing, snowmobiling, exploring northern Saskatchewan, and so much more.

Sandra found great meaning in work and had a lengthy career in Rural Municipality and Northern Municipality.

One of the most impressive roles Sandra had was being Mom, and then, Nana Sandra. She had a special way of making her kids feel loved and cared for, which is something she extended to her kids’ partners, and then her grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband, Murray; her children, Brett (Cara), Kelby(Angela), and Jillian (Colton); her beloved grandchildren Ethan, Arlow, Jackson, and Evelyn; and her sister Connie (Andy).

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Norman and Lucille Reidt, and her in-laws Edna and Alexander Galambos.Sandra never once let cancer hold her back from living, and she thought very highly of her care team. We want to thank Dr. Amer Sami and trial nurse Mira for their unwavering support.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Agency Volunteer Program as Sandra so appreciated their refreshment cart.

Her life will be honoured through a private family ceremony on August 9th, 2026. A Celebration Of Life will take place in the fall, details to be announced.

Our Sudsie now rests in peace, lovingly missed, and our lives will never be the same.
