Sandra Zimmer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Jean (nee: Krakowetz) Zimmer, who left us peacefully on September 23, 2024, at the young age of 61.

Sandra was born on July 10, 1963, to Anne and Steve Krakowetz. From an early age, Sandra was known for her warm heart, strong will, and love for her family. She married her soulmate, John Zimmer, on June 25, 1983. Together, they shared over 40 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A devoted mother, Sandra is survived by her two children, Amanda (Eric) Upton and Jayden Zimmer. She was a proud grandmother to Amanda and Eric's three children: Harlyn, Emmett, and Makenzie Upton. Sandra is survived by her brother, Andy (Jeannette) Krakowetz, their children; Melissa, Chantel (Brett) Trost and Scott Krakowetz, Sandra's sister Mary Ann (George) Harmatiuk, and their children; Kevin (Tammy Locke) and Brian Harmatiuk. Her family will always remember the unwavering support, boundless love, and the wisdom she shared with them throughout her life.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Anne and Steve Krakowetz, and her beloved brother, Raymond Krakowetz, as well as extended family and friends.

Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her devotion to her family and friends. She touched many lives with her generosity and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Vigil of Prayer will be held on Monday, September 30th, 2024 at 7:00 pm, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Parish, (3339 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon).
