Scott Warren passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Saskatoon at the age of 62. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, on November 29, 1962, Scott moved to Saskatchewan in 1981. A leap of faith that marked the start of a life full of deep connections, laughter, and love.
Scott built a long and fulfilling career, spending 22 years at Northern Telecom, where he met lifelong friends who remained close throughout the years. He later brought the same commitment and warmth to his 15 years at Cargill, earning the respect and friendship of colleagues wherever he went.
Those who knew Scott will remember his sharp wit, his dry sense of humor, and the way he could light up a room with a well-timed comment or playful joke. He had a passion for carpentry and DIY projects, always tinkering, building, or improving something around the house.
Scott's greatest calling, though, was helping others. It brought him real happiness. He volunteered at the cancer clinic before his health declined and was always the first to offer support to those in need. He was also a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and had a deep appreciation for classic muscle cars.
Scott is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ginelle Warren; his sons, Colton Warren and Sean Warren; his daughter-in-law, Jessye Balderston; and his cherished granddaughters, Palmer and Teddi Warren. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lyman and Christina (Jordan) Warren; his brother, Randy Warren; his father and mother in-law Lawrence & Yvonne (Kaye) Plamondon; his nephews, Stephen & Michel Tardivel and Kyle Plamondon
A casual Celebration of Scott's Life will be held on Thursday, June 19, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 1339 Pringle Manor, Saskatoon. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, sign the guest book and raise a glass in honour of a man who made the world better with his generosity, humor, and heart.
In lieu of sending flowers, please consider a donation to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association.
