We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Scott Yausie on March 29, 2025 at the age of 65. Scott was raised in Colonsay, SK, where he lived for 63 years. During that time, he raised his family alongside his loving wife, Gail. After retirement, they moved to Saskatoon where he enjoyed playing hockey and was an avid golfer. He loved sports. Especially watching his children, and grandchildren play. He was the happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, or spending time with his wife at their cabin, in Phoenix or playing Yahtzee.
Scott was predeceased by his parents, Wesley and Emma; father-in-law, Reg; father in law, Ernie; and niece Nicole. Scott is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Gail; and their children, Curtis (Brenda), Amanda (Luke), and Jennifer (Robert); grandchildren Jackson, Cole, Carson, Blakely, Rhett, Joey, and Zack; mother in law, Marg; siblings, Cameron (Rose), Gerald (Ruth) and Sandra (Jim); sister in law, Karen (Don) and brother in law, Ray (Joanne), along with many well-loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at the Colonsay Community Hall with a luncheon to follow. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. A private burial for immediate family will be held afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
