Serapia Ventura Mandac was born on December 18, 1922 at Jones, lsabela, Philippines. She was the second child to Eleuterio and Quirina Ventura (nee Suguitan). Married to Emilio Toledo Mandac on March 13, 1948 and were blessed with 9 children (5 girls and 4 boys).
Serapia Ventura Mandac, short of 91 days to be 102 years old, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
As their children were growing up, Serapia worked hard alongside with her loving, dedicated, and hard-working husband on the farm for the education and wellbeing of the family. When all the children were grown up and had their own families, their daughter Grace with her husband Hilbert Macadaeg sponsored them for Permanent Residency in Canada. In July 1994, they came to Canada as Permanent Residents, and after 3 years of staying in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, they went back to the Philippines for good. After the death of her husband in June 2005, her children worked for her reinstatement to return to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and this was granted in 2008.
Serapia is lovingly remembered by her children Flora and Leodigario Ramirez, Orlando and Virginia Mandac (nee Gervacio), Nenita and Ronald Verdadero, Elena and Julito Mondigo, Grace and Hilbert Macadaeg, Mae and Florencio Agpoon, and Federico Mandac. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 14 grandchildren-inlaw, 31 great grandchildren, 1 great grandson-in-law, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mom (lnang) was ready to go home to meet her loving heavenly Father. Every day and night she would pray over her family and demonstrated the genuine loving and gracious woman she was. She loves the quote: " I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". We would like to pray that blessing over all of our family and friends who joined us today.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you his sweet peace, sleep, healing and deep desire of your loving, lovely heart.
