Shelda Painchaud

It is with deepest regrets that we announce the passing of our dear Shelda. She passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

Shelda Painchaud (Bousquet) was born in Tisdale, SK on Oct 5, 1961. She grew up on the family farm with her brothers near McKague, SK. Shelda went to school in McKague until the family farm was sold in 1974 and they moved in to Tisdale. She then went to school in Tisdale where she was also an avid swimmer, spending lots of time at the local pool and competing in swim meets.

Shelda moved to Saskatoon in the early 80's. This is where she met the love of her life Francois (Frank) Painchaud. Shelda and Frank were married on Oct 22, 1994 and built a life for themselves in Saskatoon.

Shelda worked for the last 15 years at Sarcan where she made many lifelong friends. She also never lost touch with her many friends from the Tisdale area.

Shelda was a beautiful person inside and out. She took pride in her appearance and loved getting her nails done. Above all else, she cherished her family and friends and she will be truly missed by all.

Shelda was predeceased by her parents Wilfred Bousquet (2006) and Vina Bousquet (2014). As well as her brothers Ronald Bousquet (1975) and Brian Bousquet (1979).

Shelda is survived by her beloved husband Frank. His daughter Coralee (Andy) Fairbrother and granddaughter Emma. Her brothers Garry Bousquet, Gene (Shelly) Bousquet, Barry (Holly) Bousquet, Cliff Bousquet. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
