"Skip" Irving Edward Hills

Skip Hills passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 3, 2026, at RUH in Saskatoon. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, their sons, Jonathan and Douglas (Tristan), granddaughters, Kaizlyn and Zaleah, his stepbrother, Frank, and stepsisters, Roberta (Gordon) and Diane (Dennis); as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Skip was born in Camrose, AB, and grew up in Edmonton. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a bachelor's degree in pyrometallurgy, he obtained his P.Eng. in 1975. He then moved to Flin Flon, MB, in 1975, where he met and married his wife in 1979. His career subsequently took him to Toronto in 2005, before he ultimately settled in Saskatoon in 2015.

Skip took great pride in his engineering work right until the very end. He enjoyed working on the never ending list of projects around the house, curling, fishing, and cherished spending time with his family.
