Steve Dopko

Steve was born January 1, 1920 to Michael & Katie Dopko on the farm near Plunkett, Sask. He passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the age of 98. He started farming at an early age and took over the family farm in 1946. He continued farming until 2009 when he then retired to Humboldt, Sask. He enjoyed all aspects of farming, especially working with his horses. His favorite pastimes were going to auctions, playing cards and dances. In 2013 he moved to Oliver Lodge in Saskatoon and the family would like to thank all the staff at Oliver Lodge for their care of dad while he was a resident there. Steve was predeceased by daughter Darlene Knapp, brothers Sam and John, sisters Eva, Annie and Denise. He is survived by sister Catherine (Leo) Vogelgesang, sons Harold (Judie) Dopko and Rick (Judy) Dopko, daughters Theresa Dopko and Lorrie (Rob) Smith. There will be no funeral service, interment will take place at a later date.
