It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Surinder Kaur Gill (January 7th, 1937 - February 26th, 2025). She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother, an amazingly generous and loving grandmother. She always had time for a good visit and some sound advice. Surinder had many interests in her life, but family was always the most important. Knitting, crochet, reading and Gurdwara involvement were also key. Surinder had a gift for collecting friends from all paths of life - she had a special warmth that drew people to her. She was proud of her teaching career. She attained a Master's in Arts and Education. She taught in a local school until she ran her own school for many years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Parshottam Singh Gill. She is survived by her daughter Charanpreeti, son in-law Mandeep Ubhi, granddaughters Mehtab & Myra, sisters Kanwaljit and Inderjit, along with numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Surinder had a strong Sikh faith. She believed in helping everyone in every way possible.

She will be forever loved and missed.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Ave N, Saskatoon) followed by Antim Ardas at Lowe Road Gurudwara (331 Lowe Road, Saskatoon)

Special thanks to Dr. Raviqubal Basi and Dr. Mark Fenske for their medical care. We are full of gratitude and appreciation for the loving support of the dear Drs. Ram Ubhi, Surinder Ubhi, Manpreet Singh, Sandeep Singh Gill and Anand Pal Singh. We are very thankful to all the family and friends travelling far and wide to join us in saying final goodbyes.
