POWCHUK, TIMOTHY

February 23, 1960 ~ October 9, 2018

It is with a heavy hear and great sadness the family of Tim Powchuk announces his sudden passing on October 9, 2018 at St. Paul ’s Hospital.  Tim is survived by his children Jason (Jen), Vanessa (Jasse); granddaughter Mackenzie; partner Donna; her children Amanda (Matt), Crystal (Adam) and grandchildren Astrid, Vayda, Emilya and Price; his sister Nancy(Daryl); brother Adam (Chris); Sohpie his sweet ca and his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother Peter and Verna Powchuk.  Tim was born in Moose Jaw , SK and raised in Grenfell , SK.   After hight school, Tim furthered his education at STI in Moose Jaw .  From there Tim moved to Saskatoon in 1983.l  Tim worked for many years at Northern Telecom/Siecor, then went on to work for Comairco for a couple of years.  To date, Tim has been with the Saskatoon School Board as Senior Network Technician.  Tim also dedicated his time as President of his local union, CUPE.  Outside of work, Tim spent a lot of time fishing up north, canoeing, riding his motorcycle along the Saskatchewan highways with friends, listening to music and most of all spending time with family and friends.  A come and go gathering to celebrate Tim’s life will be held on Sunday, November 18 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St Luke Elementary School ( 275 Emmeline Road ).    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Paul’s Hospital or the SPCA in Saskatoon .
