It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Ursula Dac, on July 3ʳᵈ, 2026, at age of 90.
Born in Germany on August 8, 1935, Ursula showed remarkable courage and determination immigrated to Canada on her own in search of a new future and opportunities.
Her journey led her to Uranium City, where she worked in the mining camp, and met her future husband, Roman, who worked in the mine and was from Poland. They were blessed with triplet daughters, Judy, Lucy and Gay. Several years later in their hometown of Lanigan they were blessed with another daughter, Roma. Over the years, they became wonderful grandparents to their numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ursula was devoted to her family, with joy and gratitude and love for the Lord. Music filled her heart; gifted with a beautiful voice, she sang in church and in the choir. She enjoyed recitals and talent shows. Many hours were spent at the rink, watching her daughters' skate. Ursula traveled with her youngest daughter to Oberstdorf, Germany to watch her figure skating competition, which was a highlight and a memorable mother and daughter trip.
Many vacations over the years, in Europe, she enjoyed. Especially memorable was visiting her brother, Heinz, and family in Germany, and trips to Cuba and Mexico. Family holidays to the mountains, camping along the way, uplifted her with the beauty of nature. She cherished many trips with her family to Waskesiu and Manitou.
Her passion for gardening and creating an oasis of various shrubs and vibrant flowers in their own backyard were admired by family and friends. Ursula's kitchen was also the heart of countless family gatherings where she lovingly prepared home cooked meals and delightful desserts that were savored. Sharing food around the table was more than a meal; it was an expression of her love and a tradition she treasured.
An active woman throughout her life, she enjoyed tennis, skating, cross-country skiing, swimming, biking, and going on nature walks with her husband, family, and their doggy.
Ursula leaves behind a loving family; her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends, all of whom were blessed by steadfast love and unwavering faith. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace.
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from HIM" -Psalm 62:1
Lovingly remembered as a wife, mom and a grandma for your unconditional love, resilient strength, and beautiful kind soul. Forever in our Hearts.
